The Heart of God International Church (HOGIC) is a progressive, family oriented church committed to serving multi-generations and cultures in the DC Metropolitan area and throughout the world, by developing disciples who demonstrate the Kingdom of God.
PURPOSE
Love God and People
At HOGIC because we love the Lord with all our heart, we want to share this love with others. Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39
VISION
Win Souls and Make Disciples
At HOGIC we believe that God has called us to transform our nation and the world by winning souls and making disciples. Jesus commissioned us in this saying, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations". Matthew 28:19-20. We believe you are a key part of God's plan and want to help you to fulfill God's purpose for your life.
STRATEGY
Win, Consolidate, Disciple and Send
These are the four stages of our strategy known as the Ladder of Success. The strategy is accomplished by the preaching and teaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of God in the power of the Holy Spirit and through the training of committed followers of Christ. The strategy is modeled on Christ's mentoring of twelve disciples and sending them out to disciple others. Trained disciples then train disciples who disciple others in a continuing process that results in people everywhere learning of Christ's love and His power to transform lives.
GOAL
Every Believer Becomes A Leader
We know that God has a powerful plan for our lives and that only through an "encounter" with Him, "training" in the Word of God, and "mentoring" by a spirit-filled leader will we become the "person of influence," the Leader that we want to be in our family, business, and ministry.
